Chapter Training Courses for Special Olympics Alberta

Please note that the General Volunteer Orientation Course offered in this folder will include the Special Olympics Canada Volunteer Training module as well as the Provincial / Territorial chapter specific training modules required for all volunteers in your chapter.  This folder also contains other chapter specific training modules provided by your province/territory to athletes, coaches & volunteers.

This training is a general orientation for all volunteers new to Special Olympics Canada.

The course covers general information about Special Olympics in Canada, including information on Risk Management, Working with Athletes with intellectual disabilities and local Special Olympics Orientation information.

This course is mandatory for all volunteers and coaches.

This course is for AMC members only.  

This training course serves as an overview of the roles and responsibilites of the Affiliate Management Committe (AMC).  

As part of the volunteer screening process, all coaches, volunteers and AMC members must complete the Special Olympics Alberta Volunteer Orientation below.
